*No smoking or vaping throughout the property.

IS THE FEAR FACTORY REALLY HAUNTED?

Yes, there has been significant evidence collected for years. Many paranormal interactions with spirits have been experienced–and they may interact with you, just like they do with our staff. We partner with Utah’s best paranormal group, GRIMM GHOST TOURS, which hosts occasional tours on our off season, as well as ghost story experiences in the fall. See more information at: https://www.grimmghosttours.com/

WHERE DO WE PARK?

Parking is available on any surface city street near the property, closest to our 800 South entrance. Avoid parking under the nearby overpasses. Fear Factory also offers an additional pre-experience, the ZOMBIE BUS, which is available to transport visitors 1 free roundtrip to/from the Gateway, a few blocks north of Fear Factory.

WILL YOUR ACTORS TOUCH ME?

No, Fear Factory actors will not intentionally touch guests. However, if you wish to be touched by our actors, you can add the TOUCH OF FEAR upgrade to your ticket for a few dollars more.

WHAT AGE DO YOU NEED TO BE TO ENTER THE FEAR FACTORY?

There is no age limit if an adult is accompanying children, although discretion is advised for children under the age of 12. This haunt is real and one of the top attractions in the world. It may not be suitable for younger ages, and certainly not for children who require being held.

ARE THERE GHOST TOURS? CAN MY PARANORMAL GROUP COME THROUGH FOR AN INVESTIGATION?

Yes. We partner with Utah’s best paranormal group, GRIMM GHOST TOURS, which hosts occasional tours on our off season, as well as ghost story experiences in the fall. See more information at: https://www.grimmghosttours.com/. If you’d like to host your own investigation, please contact us at info@fearfactoryslc.com.

CAN WE TAKE FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY AND/OR VIDEO INSIDE THE HAUNTED HOUSE?

No photography, filming, flashlight use or other use of cell phones in any form is allowed inside the Haunted House experience. Photography taken outside the haunt is allowed. Media access should contact info@fearfactoryslc.com.

IS THE FEAR FACTORY DISABLED ACCESSIBLE?

Fear Factory is housed in the old Portland Cement Works, a historic building constructed in the 1800s, prior to the standards of the Americans With Disabilities Act. Because of this not all areas are, or can be made, accessible to some individuals with mobility impairments without compromising the historic nature, structural features or structural integrity of the building. Fear Factory has, to the extent possible, created an alternative accessible route but, as stated, this route cannot safely include all areas of the attraction.

Fear Factory is as committed to accessibility as it is to the safety of its guests and so offers alternative equitable experiences to guests with mobility impairments where possible. These alternative experiences may not be available on all days or at all hours of operation. If the alternatives are not available a voucher will be offered. It is our commitment that, when taken as a whole, all our guests have a safe and equitable experience.

Find our complete ADA policy here.

For more information on alternative routes and experiences for people with disabilities please contact: Heidi Dunfield heidi@fearfactoryslc.com.

HOW LONG IS THE HAUNTED HOUSE EXPERIENCE?

Fear Factory is a massive facility, boasting over 6 buildings and 2 underground passages. You can expect to be inside, walking through areas and interacting with monsters for at least 45 minutes. The average experience takes about 45 minutes to walk through the entire factory. Plan to wear good footwear, as there are several flights of stairs.

WHAT SHOULD I PLAN TO WEAR?

Depending on the night you attend, there may be a wait in line, so plan to dress accordingly. Good footwear is a must: sandals, heels or loose shoes are strongly discouraged, due to the many metal grate stairs, various ground surfaces and/or experiences you may encounter. Fear Factory is not responsible for any damaged personal items.

IF I’M IN LINE AT CLOSING TIME WILL I STILL GET IN?

Yes. We close our main gates on 800 South to new arrivals at our specified closing hours. However, if you’re in line prior to the closing of the gates, you will be permitted entry.

WHAT IS THE ZOMBIE BUS?

The Zombie Bus is a fun way to start your experience at Fear Factory early, and offers free roundtrip transportation to/from the Gateway. It’s a party-like bus that is fully decorated, and has great Halloween music. CLICK HERE for more info.

WHAT IS THE DON'T BE A MONSTER PROGRAM?

Are costumes allowed?

Yes, costumes are welcome! Costumes must not contain any words or images that are racist, obscene, hateful, or derogatory, including historical references. If your costume is considered too revealing or offensive, you may be asked to cover up or change into something more appropriate.

Additionally, please refrain from wearing masks or carrying any weapons, and make sure your costume does not obstruct or protrude in a way that could pose a risk to others or the sets. If you have any doubts about your costume, we recommend consulting with event staff prior to coming to confirm it aligns with our guidelines.
